NEW STUDENT Auditions for Kids in the ACT Youth Theater

Auditions for NEW STUDENTS will be August 15th and August 22nd. You may come anytime between 10:00am and 12:00noon at the Liahona Preparatory Academy in Pleasant Grove. Please prepare 16 measures of a Broadway style song or something from a Disney musical and bring the karaoke tracks on an electronic device to sing along with. If you cannot attend these times, please contact Laura Snyder at 801-404-0736 to schedule another audition time.

Callback auditions will be for students accepted in the program. Callback auditions for actual parts in our youth theatre shows will be during class time.

SUMMER SHOW 2026 AUDITIONS

Auditions for our Summer Show that will run July 10th-20th, 2026 will be May 16th. More details to come soon!

Finding Neverland

Show dates: July 10-20. 2026

AUDITIONS: May 16th, 2026

WHERE: Liahona Preparatory Academy, located at 2464 W 450 S, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062.

WHEN: Audition times as follows:

Boys & Girls (8-12): 9:00 am -12:00 pm

Teens & Adults (13 and up): 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm

Plan on spending one hour to complete the audition process. We need all ages, from 8 to 88!

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • SINGING – Please be prepared to sing 16 measures of an upbeat Broadway Musical.  (Nothing from Wicked or Hairspray PLEASE!)  Please bring an electronic device with music/karaoke tracks to sing along with.
  • DANCING – Also, be prepared to learn dance steps by wearing appropriate footwear.  (No flip-flops or sandals.)  You will be asked to perform the dance steps taught during auditions.
  • ACTING – Some of you may be asked to read lines and do some improvisation.  (Presenting a 1-minute monologue is optional at callbacks only.)
  • SPECIAL SKILLS – If you have special skills such as gymnastics or acrobatics, please let us know at auditions.  We would love to see these special talents! 
  • CALL BACKS – Callbacks will be held May 26-28.  If we need you to return for a callback you will be listed on our website as to which date and time.  Not every role needs a callback, so please remember to check the Final Cast List even if you didn’t get called back. Callbacks will be held at the Liahona Preparatory Academy.
  • FINAL CAST LIST POSTED – The final cast list will be posted on our website on Saturday, May 30th after 7:00 pm. Please check this list even if you did not get a callback!
  • MANDATORY Parent/Cast/Staff Meeting: If you or your child is cast in this musical you must attend this meeting with your child on TUESDAY, June 2nd at the Liahona Theater (2464 W 450 S, Pleasant Grove, UT) from 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm. (Leads will stay for a read thru until 10:15 pm.)
