Director’s Notes
Finding Neverland is the story of J. M. Barrie and how he received his inspiration for Peter Pan. It is such
a moving story of finding hope and purpose amidst loss and tragedy and that everyone has the power to
‘Believe’.

filled with amazing people. You are beyond ‘My Imagination’ and I hope you know just ‘What You Mean
to Me’! Everyone has dedicated their time and talents to help share this uplifting story that will sweep
you away to the ‘2 nd star on the right’. It’s been such a fun adventure to work on this show together,
and I cannot thank you enough for capturing my vision and bringing it to the stage.
Thank you all for attending our show today. I hope you will all find ‘Something About This Night’ with us
very special. Sit back and enjoy. Be prepared to be moved and inspired and led on your own journey of
‘Finding Neverland’.
Laura Snyder- Director

Director/Choreographer/Producer – Laura Snyder
Laura Snyder is President/Executive Director and Founder of Alpine Community Theater (ACT). Laura has had an active part in producing, directing, and choreographing each of ACT’s musical productions since its inception in 2003. Theatre is her passion and has been since she was a child. She grew up attending musicals and listening to musical soundtracks which inspired her to direct her own plays and puppet shows- doing her own acting, singing, dancing- and creating her own choreography to present to her family and neighborhood friends. Laura founded ACT Performing Arts Academy in 2011 where she directs Kids in the ACT Youth Theatre for youth ages 8-18. She loves working with youth, inspiring, nurturing and coaching them in theatre arts, and helping to instill skills that will empower them throughout their life. Laura has over 40 years of musical theatre and dance experience and enjoys sharing her great love for musical theatre with the community and especially to the youth she trains. Laura graduated from Brigham Young University in Theatre Arts Studies with an emphasis in Directing. She received her Master’s degree in Arts Administration from Southern Utah University.

Music Director – Suzana Garrett
Suzana Garrett was born and raised in Orem, and after a 12 year absence living in 3 states, she is happy to be back to stay and raise her six kids with her husband. She graduated from BYU with a bachelor’s degree in choral music education, but musical theater is her first love. She is thrilled to be part of this production and honored to work with such a talented group of people. Many thanks to Andy, her husband, for holding down the fort and doing bedtime solo during countless long rehearsals and late nights! Enjoy the show!

J.M. Barrie – Brenton Ferrell
This is my 10th show with ACT. I’m so grateful for the wonderful opportunities I’ve had here. I’m also beyond grateful to my beautiful wife Kaitlynn and daughter Abigail for their support and patience as I’ve spent the time at rehearsal and in the show. I hope they know how much I love them.

J.M. Barrie – Todd LeeMaster
Todd is so excited to be returning to ACT! Recently, Todd has had the privilege to perform with The Scera ( Hans- Frozen) The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater (Avram- Fiddler on the Roof), Sentinel Theater ( Daddy Cane- Bright Star), & last summer with ACT (Moses- The Prince of Egypt). Special thanks and love to his wife Brooke for always supporting and sacrificing for his passions, and to his daughter Josie who reminds him to Let It Go. The best, most beautiful 3 yr old in the world!

Mary – Avery Dall-Hilton
This is Avery’s dream show and so “ecstatic” doesn’t even cover it! She is so thankful to be a part of this hardworking cast. Avery has degrees in theatre and creative writing, and has participated in over 40 shows both on and off stage. She loves baking, reading, and crafting in her spare time.

Mary – Avery Gleason
Avery is excited to do her first show with the talented people of ACT! Finding Neverland has been a long-time favorite of hers. Avery loves to perform, with some of her past roles being Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Alice in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and Eponine in Les Miserables. In her spare time, Avery loves reading and playing tennis. She is grateful to her loving husband, Parker, who encourages her in every passion— including theatre. She hopes you enjoy the show!

Sylvia – Laura Frisby
Laura Frisby is so grateful to ACT for giving her the opportunity to play one of her dream roles after a long hiatus from the stage. Favorite roles include The Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute, Despina in Così Fan Tutte, and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance. When she is not performing, Laura loves traveling to new places and spending time with her family.

Sylvia – Lisa Prina
Lisa is delighted to be part of this beautiful story told through her favorite musical and dream role. It has been pure joy to step into this story with a cast that has become a treasured group of friends. Holding bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Vocal Performance, Lisa has performed throughout the United States and Italy and has spent more than twenty years teaching voice and guiding others through breathwork. She believes authentic artistry begins with connection—to our true selves, to one another, and to the music—and considers it a privilege to help singers discover confidence, healing, and joy. Lisa hopes this story leaves you with renewed hope wherever you are on your own journey.

Mrs. Du Maurier – Kelli Brown
Kelli Brown is pleased as punch to be in this performance of Finding Neverland as Mrs. DuMaurier, even if Mrs. D. is a stick in the mud. Kelli greatly enjoys community theater and the part she likes best is making friends with wonderful people. She has been blown away by the local talent she gets to work with and hopes very much that you will enjoy the show!
She also likes piña coladas and getting caught in the rain.

Mrs. Du Maurier – Tara Jean Harris
Tara Jean’s directing debut at age 19 consisted of a couple dozen kids at summer camp and a very short version of Peter Pan, so this show has a special place in her heart. For the last 2 decades, she has enjoyed performing, directing, teaching, music directing, dancing and choreography. Special thanks to her 4 kids and Prince Charming of a husband! She hopes all will find the delight of youth in the show tonight and remember it always!

Frohman/Hook/Cannan – Christopher Fosse
After decades wasted on things like family and a career, Chris only recently found his way back onto the stage in 2025, playing Pharaoh Seti in “Prince of Egypt” and Fezziwig/Christmas Present in “Christmas Carol.” Here he is reunited with several of his favorite cast members from those productions, while giving him the chance to portray a cantankerous producer, a homewrecking British lord, and an imaginary amputee all in a single production. Joining him in ensemble parts are his two amazing daughters, Persephone and Mercury.

Frohman/Hook – Dane Robertson
Dane Robertson loves money almost as much as his character Charles Frohman. Money, however doesn’t seem to like him back.
A native of Utah, Dane has been a sentient clock in Beauty and The Beast, the brother Levi in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and a noble and visionary father to an ungrateful daughter in The Little Mermaid. I mean I’m glad it worked out, but you can’t just go trade your voice in order to shoot your shot with some random hunk onshore, you know?
Dane lives in Saratoga Springs with the love of his life: an emergency fund and a respectable 401k. His wife and two kids help tend the growing assets.

Peter – Miles Robertson
Miles turned 14 on July 8 and has always loved musicals. This is his tenth production, with some of his favorites including Anastasia and Footloose with Timpanogos Community Theater, and Hadestown with ACT. Finding Neverland marks Miles’s first lead role in a musical and his second production with ACT. He hopes you enjoy the show!

George – Noah Parson
Noah is excited to be performing in Finding Neverland, his 10th production. Some of his favorite roles have been Flounder in The Little Mermaid and being part of Hadestown with Alpine Community Theatre this spring. Noah also enjoys singing in a community choir, mountain biking on his school team, hanging out with friends, and baking and cooking. He hopes you enjoy the show as much as he enjoys performing in it!

Jack – Tanner Johnson
Tanner loves music, theater, camping, sports, video games, reading, and spending time with friends. He is a member of Rise Up Children’s Choir, where he has been a featured soloist, and shared the stage with artists such as Gentri, Matt & Savannah Shaw, Yahosh Bonner, and Shaun Johnson. His choir also toured Europe last summer, an experience he’ll never forget. An accomplished pianist, Tanner has also taught himself the violin and harmonica and recently added the clarinet. Favorite theatrical roles include Gavroche (ACT Les Misérables) and Grand Pabbie (ACT Frozen Jr.).

Michael – Max Chase
Max Chase is thrilled to be making his stage debut in Finding Neverland! This may be his first production, but if you’ve ever met Max, you know the stage is exactly where he belongs. He loves to sing, make people laugh, and turn everyday moments into an adventure. When he isn’t pretending to fly with Peter Pan, he’s usually playing football, basketball, or creating chaos (the fun kind!) with his brother and sisters. Max has loved every minute with his Finding Neverland family and is already counting the days until his next show. He hopes you enjoy the adventure as much as he has!

Elliot/Stage Manager “Smee”- Kent Dodds
Kent is new to ACT and joins us with three of his children. As a teenager, he was active in his award-winning high school show choir and performed in community productions of Sound of Music and Les Misérables. As Elliot, Kent plays Frohman’s earnest, loyal stage manager.

Cannan/Henshaw “Nana” – Isaac Widdison
Isaac is very excited to be back acting after a long hiatus! He has done many shows with ACT in the past, including: The Scarlet Pimpernel, West Side Story, and Thoroughly Modern Millie. When Isaac isn’t acting or pretending to be a dog, he spends his time writing, playing basketball, and hosting the occasional game night.

Potter “Peter Pan” – Ashley Jackman
Ashley is so excited to be back on stage! She recently graduated from BYU in Spanish Translation, but before starting her university studies, she danced with Cache Valley Civic Ballet and then performed at Ridgeline High School as Queen Aggravain in Once Upon a Mattress and Mrs. Fairfax in Jane Eyre. Finding Neverland is one of her very favorite musicals, so this role has been a dream come true!

Cromer “Michael” – Jessie Marchant
After 8 years away from the Theatrical stage, Jessie is thrilled to be performing in one of his all time favorite musicals, ‘Finding Neverland’. Since then, he has enjoyed performing in various choirs, a tenor trio, and with his wife in many different spaces. He is beyond excited for the audience to experience turning back the clock and finding your inner child. Time to go play!

Bassett “Mermaid” – Brooke Jorden
Brooke Jorden is thrilled to return to ACT and join this talented, magical cast (including her daughter, Madi) as the dramatic Miss Bassett! Some of her previous credits include Yocheved in The Prince of Egypt, the Sour Kangaroo in Seussical, a stepsister in Cinderella, and M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias. Outside of the theater, she is an author, graphic designer, and mother of three with another little boy coming this fall!

Jones “Mermaid” – Vonnie Hilton
Vonnie is so excited to join this magical production as Miss Jones. She’s lifelong lover of music and theater, and her past shows include The Sound of Music and Fiddler on the Roof. When not performing, she works as a designer and seamstress. She hopes you enjoy this celebration of imagination and wonder.

Turpin/”Hook”– Brett Rasmussen
Brett Rasmussen has loved singing since he first joined his church choir in Woodbridge, Virginia at the age of 12. He went on to sing in school choirs in high school and college, and to double-major in Music and Psychology for his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. While there he served as president of the BYU A Cappella Club and music director for three student a cappella groups. He later received master’s and doctorate degrees in Choral Conducting from the University of Utah.
He has conducted or guest conducted the Stadium of Fire Chorus, the Timpanogos Chorale, Lex de Azevedo’s Millennium Choir, the Choral Arts Society of Utah, the U of U Chamber Choir and A Cappella Choir, and various church choirs. He has sung in the Salt Lake Choral Artists, the Utah Symphony Chorus, the BYU Men’s Chorus, MSingers, the Washington DC Memorial Day Choir, and the Constitution Celebration Chorus.
Brett is a longtime lover of musical theater who occasionally performs solos from that repertoire for community gatherings, and is thrilled to be participating in Finding Neverland for his second community theater project.

Miriam/”Wendy”– Bridgette Madsen
Bridgette is so excited to be part of bringing Finding Neverland to life! She loves being able to both choreograph for and act in this very whimsical show. Some of her favorite past performing experiences include being a participant of Open Jar Institute, portraying Sylvie in Amelie, and competing at the Utah Shakespeare Competition in dance. She would like to send lots of love to all of the incredible people in this cast! #faithtrustandalittlepixiedust

Albert– Ray LeBaron
Ray is co-director and musical director of full-length plays at his school where he teaches 2nd grade. He wanted to gain tips by actually being in community theater, as well as using some of his pirate voice talent – both of which he is able to accomplish! Ray is very excited to share the stage with many talented actors.
